I am Romina Castillo alias Ramona Schloss, a Chilean graphic designer and visual artist who has been living in Munich for several years. My work focuses on watercolor painting and analog collages, exploring the combination of shapes, colors and textures to create minimalist compositions.
In my watercolors, I develop botanical and animal subjects, capturing the intricacies of nature with a detailed and realistic approach. Each work is an exploration of light, contrast and texture, aiming to capture the essence of each creature depicted.
In my collages, I experiment with the layering of materials, the balance of colors and the composition of shapes. By cutting and assembling different elements, I create images that combine the organic with the abstract and create new visual narratives. This technique allows me to play with spontaneity and structure, finding a harmony between textures and fragments.
My studio is a creative space where I leave the digital world behind to immerse myself in the materiality of paper, water and pigment and explore the dialog between painting and collage as a form of expression.
